My Version of home cooked Pork Spare Ribs

My hubby and I always eat at "Casa Verde" restaurant which is really known here in Cebu for their famous baby back ribs aka "Brian's Ribs". And I just have to point out that they're ribs are to die for! Their price for the ribs is only Php188.00 for a huge serving of savory baby back ribs. I'll definitely show you more photos when we go back there.
Anyway, this is my first attempt on cooking Pork Spare Ribs and it was a success! yay! My hubby really loved it.
Curious how I did it ?
Here's the list of Ingredients I used.
1. Pork Ribs
2. Oyster Sauce
3. Worcestershire Sauce
4. Salt
5. Ground Black Pepper
6. Red Onions
7. Garlic
8. Sprite
It's really easy to do.
I marinated the chopped ribs for about an hour with, salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce and a little bit of soy sauce (silver swan). I wanted to add a little bit of barbecue sauce in it but we didn't have one at the time.
Then I sauteed the chopped red onions and garlic on a casserole pan with just enough vegetable oil in it. After about 30 seconds, I then placed my marinated ribs on the casserole pan and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Finally, I poured in about half a liter of the Sprite soda just enough to cover the whole pork ribs and heated it with low fire.
Then all there is to do now is wait until the ribs are tender and the soda has caramelized. It took about 45 minutes to cook and voila it's done!
This is it for now.
Cheerios!

By the way, Casa Verde in Ayala Center is one of my favorite resto, been there twice already when I was in Cebu for business trip. They serve great food at an affordable price.
