Retail Price: $5.94 in the US,
I'm not sure how much this retails locally since I haven't seen it on our local Maybelline counters. (can be found at Duty Free)
I have tried quite a few mascaras already but I must say I'm impressed with this. The Falsies is one of Maybelline's wonderful creations. I got this mascara from my friend (Loien) and have been using it for about a month now. I just thought it's time for my thoughts to be heard.
What I like about it...
* inexpensive
* super black color
* curved applicator
* clump free if applied carefully
* smudge proof and waterproof
* it lengthens my lashes
* gives extreme volume, hence the falsies name
* nice packaging, love the color
* lasts all day
* easy to remove with an eye makeup remover
* does not sting
What I don't like...
* not easy to find locally* needs time to apply, this is not the type of mascara you can use when you're in a hurry
My rating: 4 / 5
my lashes without mascara
my lashes with The Falsies mascara
with The Falsies Mascara
This is it for now. Enjoy your weekend.
Cheerios!

Sounds like a good one! I'd better check out these Maybelline mascaras :)
ReplyDeletegreat review! haven't tried any mascaras from maybelline before but am looking at the magnum one. THe Falsies range isn't avialable in Asia :
ReplyDeleteI love, LOVE this (mine was the non-waterproof formula, though), it's wayyyy better than YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils!
ReplyDeleteI've also been dying to try Grow Luscious and Double Twist! Do you own any of those? Is a review possible? :D
ReplyDelete@Aya you should try Maybelline mascaras they're wonderful.
ReplyDelete@Jennifer, go give Maybelline mascaras a try, you won't regret it.
@GABY, glad you like this too.
@Michelle, I haven't tried those yet. I check that out. Did you mean the one from Revlon?
Great review! The mascara really seems to work for you!
ReplyDeleteThat looks nice. Currently I'm using the Colossal mascara by Maybelline. Btw, are you using the Wet n Wild eyeshadow in those photos? Quick question, which eyeshadows would you recommend more: ELF or Wet n Wild? I can't seem to decide what to buy :) Thanks. :D
ReplyDelete@Musicalhouses, Thank you!
ReplyDelete@Elaine, I'm using the Avon smooth mineral eyeshadow in this photo. I really love both Elf and WetnWild coz both are inexpensive and has very good quality. So, I'd suggest you choose based on the colors of the palette. WetnWild has really beautiful palettes.
Okay! Thanks! Yeah I'm leaning more towards WnW too. I love both! Maybe next time I can get both. What about eye primers/make up base? :)
ReplyDeleteI'm currently using the Elf Studio Eye Primer & liner sealer. and sometimes my Revlon illuminance creme eyeshadow as base (since, I have dry lids so it's okay for me, but if you have oily lids skip it). I'd suggest you also look into the Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer, I've read very good reviews about it, they said it's at par with Urban Decay Primer Potion.
ReplyDeleteAs for makeup base, I'm just using my Purebeauty Soothing BB Cream, you can find it at Watson's.
Wow, seems like a great mascara and so affordable! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete@PopBlush, my pleasure. I hope you follow me back.

ReplyDelete@Madiha, Thanks for following my blog. I followed you back.
@Elaine, no problem sis! my pleasure.
I have to say.. I love the way it looks.. but I HATE taking it off. it's like trying to wash cement out of my eye lashes and it HURTS. I've even tried different kinds of soap.. and if you don't wash it all the way out it just sort of turns to mush and mashes all your eye lashes together so you have no CHOICE but to yank it out.. along with about 10 or so eye lashes. I bought this stuff months ago and loved it.. just bought more and I can't tell you how much I HATE it. I will NEVER buy it again.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous, all you need is a good eye make remover! silly! lol... You just soak a cotton pad with an eye makeup remover and pat it on your lashes, they're very easy to remove. It's a NO Brainer!
ReplyDeleteThnaks for a great review, it's detailed and pictured, I find the review with pictures are the most helpful, I know think it'll try this one out. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLeave me a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. ^_^
