First Date Makeup Look
6:46:00 PMHey ladies, just one more day and it's Valentine's Day. I realized that I haven't created any makeup look for a really long time. (sigh) Since hearts day is coming, I just thought that this soft neutral look would be perfect for a date.
Before I chose to do this makeup, I thought "What kind of makeup look would I prefer to wear for a date with Hubby?" The answer is a no-brainer. I only wanted a simple and natural look with a healthy dewy finish.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm (makeup base)
Maybelline Mineral Power Liquid Foundation in Natural Beige
Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover Foundation (setting powder)
Mac Powder Blush in Harmony (contour powder)

Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color in Hazelnut (crease area)
Styli Style 24hr Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black
Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara in Very Black (upper and lower lashes)
for the lips
Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Fervor (all over my lips)
Mac Lipglass in Lovechild (on the center part of my lips)
The Finished Soft Neutral Look
There are already a lot of Valentine's Day makeup tutorials available online but only few were simple and soft. Which is why I decided to make this quick look for you ladies. (chos!)
I did not want to overly define my brows and just wanted to make my face look alive and less tired. Keep in mind that most men don't want ladies with too much makeup on. (I've read it somewhere hehe) So, I would definitely recommend a Soft Neutral Look for first dates. ^_^
I hope this helps.
Until next time.
Cheerios!

@Pauline, thank you ^_^
Deletejust followed you--it's nice to see contouring on someone with a face similar to mine! it's so hard for me to follow contouring when the girls already have ultra angular faces with high cheekbones and perfectly sharp bone structures. i'll have to catch up on some of your posts.
ReplyDeletei'm holding a korean makeup giveaway over at my blog if you wanna check it out

@Sample Hime, I totally get what you mean. I just learned how to contour my own face over time. Not every contouring technique works for everyone. I just found what works best for me. and Thank you for the follow ^_^
DeleteI love your contouring face chart! Can you please do a contouring tutorial? I like this look. I think it's the safest way to prettify and satisfy your man's simple tastes at the same time :) My bf used to hate makeup but he's learned to accept it for me, and is actually more supportive of adventurous looks nowadays <3
ReplyDelete@Tellie, thank you sis! Will definitely do a contouring tut real soon. It's it's real fast, simple but it enhances your features.
DeleteSuper loving this look! Almost a no-makeup-makeup, and your contouring is beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial.
