Mac Next Fad Pro Longwear Lipglass Review
3:58:00 PMI'm slacking off from my posts again. huhu. It's been a really rough week, and I'm literally drained. There's so much going on at work lately and my baby Ehron had fever for the past 4 days. Good thing he's all better now. Anyway, I just wanted to show you this lip gloss that I had in my kit for some time now. It's pretty and it's something that can be worn on a daily basis, if you like glossy lips.
Product Info from MAC Cosmetics
A longwearing Lipglass that goes on smooth and lasts for up to six hours! Envelops lips with shine and colour and pro-longs the hours between re-application.
Retail Price: $20.00 in the US
sold for around Php1,150 at our local MAC Counters
I got this Mac Pro Longwear Lipglass in Next Fad last April, during the second Mac Technique event held here in Cebu with Celebrity Makup Artist Jigs Mayuga which you can view HERE.
This was released last 2012 with the MAC Office Hours Collection, but this is not limited edition. It is part of their permanent line of Pro Longwear Lipglass.
As you can see in the photo above, this tube is taller than your usual Mac Lipglass. The scent and texture is still the same as the original lipglass. However, the consistency and feel of the product itself is different.
The applicator is very different from the usual doe-foot form of the original lipglass. This one is pinched in the middle, so it is much flatter. The applicator actually looks very similar to Revlon's Colorburst Lipgloss applicators. If you have that in your kit then you know what I'm talking about.
(this is one swipe of the gloss)
The formulation of the Pro Longwear Lipglass is much more thicker and more sticky. Probably understandable which explains the long wear-time on lips. I also like that it does not settle on my lips' fine lines.
It lasts for more than 4 hours on my lips, with light drinking and eating. It's pretty awesome for a Lipgloss actually, since most regular gloss just fade after a drink or two. The color payoff is great as well. Only the shades Next Fad and Boundless Beige has shimmers in their collection. Also, these two are the lightest. The rest of shades available are very bold and opaque.
Overall, I like to wear this gloss for events where I need to look my best for several hours. However, I seldom use this since it's too sticky. If you already find the Mac Lipglass sticky then this is even more sticky than the latter. I find this to be quite expensive for a just a tube of lipgloss.
If you're a lipgloss lover, then I'd recommend you give this a try. For those who are not comfortable with glosses or those who doesn't like sticky glosses, I'd say skip this.
Until next time.
Cheerios!
