I really like the shade of my elf blush in glow, so when I hit pan on that, I had to search for a replacement. I've been seeing the Milani Baked Blushes since it came out last year (2011) and many beauty enthusiast raved about the shade in Luminoso. So I had to try it.

I know that everyone likes the NYX round lipsticks simply because they are affordable and very pigmented.  But I wasn't that crazy about them because they melt easily and the smell bothers me sometimes. So when the NYX Matte Lipsticks came out, I was really excited to try them out.



What I like about this lipstick is that, the longer it stayed on my lips the more it became matte. Even though it's matte, this doesn't dry out my lips.  It's highly pigmented too. I'm glad that this performs way better than their round lipsticks. I'm also quite happy about the smell, it's barely noticeable.

NYX Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red is really pretty blue based red, it's not too bright nor too dark, it's just right. This has a decent staying power. It stays on my lips until my next meal or drink.

I like the packaging as well, it looks sleek. The plastic surface is Matte and they left the center part transparent so that the actual shade of the lipstick can be seen.


Lastly, the lipstick tube goes all the way in when twisted, so it is easier to close and I won't have to worry about hitting the product with the cap.

Overall, this is a pretty good lipstick. I bought it for only 270 pesos from French Macaroons multiply shop. I would recommend this to matte lipstick lovers out there. ^_^

I was recently invited to attend the Shu Uemura Beauty Workshop at Ayala Center Cebu and I got to meet awesome people. Events like this seldom happens here in Cebu City so I was really excited when I received the invitation from Big Seed Media.


 The Beauty Workshop was held by Internationally Accredited Makeup Artist Patrick Alcober. He introduced us the three new products from Shu Uemura and showed us how to use them.


These are the three products he used to prep the Model's face before makeup.

First - use the Shu Uemura Ultime8 sublime beauty cleansing oil. This contains 8 exquisite oils from botanical origin for ultimate solution to 8 skin benefits powerful yet gentle botanical origin removal system for superb cleansing.  It removes effortless all kind of make-up and impurities. skin feels soften, conditioned, hydrated, nourished from within and glows with a new radiance. Second - apply the Shu Uemura Tsuya youthful radiance generator essence. This is a serum used to reactivate cell regeneration, thus giving that youthful glow.

Third - finish prepping with the Shu Uemura UV under base youthful radiance mousse with spf 30.  This is a weightless mousse makeup base that helps to even out the skin tone and texture, reduce redness and minimize the appearance of pores. 



And of course I didn't go empty handed...

Here's another tasty breakfast that I cooked up from our kitchen. I wasn't sure what to make so I just peeked through available ingredients in the fridge and came up with an Open Faced Egg Sandwich with Onion Chives.

Ingredients...
* Baguette (bought mine at Suisse Cottage)
* Lettuce (I used Romaine Lettuce)
* Tomato ( I used a green tomato)
* 3 eggs
* chopped onion chives
* butter (I used Dari Creme Classic)
* mayonnaise (I used Best Foods Light Mayonnaise)
* tomato ketchup (I used Del Monte Sweet Blend Tomato Ketchup)

Step 1
Beat all 3 eggs in a bowl, add 3 tablespoons of mayo and chopped onion chives. Mix until evenly distributed.

Step 2
Pre-Heat your non-stick pan (low heat)
Slice your Baguette into 5-inch length and slice into half
Toast your Baguette into the non-stick pack until brown, then add a little butter on top while it's hot

Step 3
Cook your scrambled egg mixture into the non-stick pan with a tiny amount of vegetable oil, just enough for the eggs to cook.

Step 4
Wash your lettuce and make thin slices of tomato.
Place the lettuce as the first layer on top of your toasted baguette,
then followed by the scrambled egg, sliced tomato, then tiny bits of lettuce.

Step 5
Lastly, drizzle a small amount of tomato ketchup on top, you can add shredded cheese if you prefer.

I was looking for a waterproof eyeliner online and saw this L'oreal HIP Color Rich Cream Crayon in Perfectionist. (that was a mouthful... LOL) It is simply a black retractable jumbo eyeliner.  I found other waterproof eyeliners from other brands but they were expensive so I opted for this.

I finally got to try these LA Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils. Ever since I tried using the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, I was hooked. It instantly became a favorite and a staple in my makeup kit.  I recently noticed the LA Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils online and I just had to try them out so that I can see how they compare with the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil.

I recently tried eating at a new restaurant that opened near the office building where I worked.  For curiosity sakes, I just went in and ordered one of their combo meals. It was Ham and Chili Cheese Stick meal with rice.  While I took a bite, I stared at what was inside and realized that it was pretty easy to do.

When I got home from work, I immediately checked our fridge for available ingredients and luckily I did. This is something that is pretty easy to do. The ingredients are something we could consider staples.


Ingredients are...
* Lumpia Wrapper
* Ham (I used the Sunpride Smoked Ham)
* Cheese (I used Eden Cheese)
* Green Bell Pepper

All I did was sliced the Ham, Cheese, and Green Bell Pepper into long strips. I then placed all three ingredients at the center of the Lumpia Wrapper and wrapped it. Lastly, I just fried the sticks using vegetable oil. That is it, I was done in 15 minutes.


This is one of the easiest dishes I've ever done. Do let me know if you've tried this.
