I rarely see brides wanting to have red lips during their big day. When my client requested for bold red lips during her Wedding, I was just ecstatic!



 

The wedding reception was held at a beach resort here in Cebu, so that definitely was a fun experience. Some of the makeup used for the Bride were owned by Raine, like the Urban Decay Naked Palette. It really helps to have a makeup partner who has a lot of good stuff in her kit... LOL

I bought this together with my Revlon Super Lustrous in Fire and Ice lipstick, but I just recently opened it. So, here's the swatch. ^_^


If you notice on the pic above, the color is a darker pink, kind of like a reddish mauve shade. I expected it to be really opaque since most Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks that has a creme finish are really pigmented. But I was surprised when I noticed that this had a little bit of shimmer to it. Good thing it's barely noticeable.


I do find this shade perfect for an everyday look.  I also have a feeling that this might look even better on ladies with fair skin. ^_^

I had a blast on yet another beauty event held here in Cebu last March 16, 2013. Mac Cosmetics finally launched the Archie's Girls Collection and the products especially their lipsticks were literally sold out in the morning of the same day.


I was originally planning to buy the Betty Bright lipstick, however as I've mentioned earlier all lipsticks sold out even before the event proper began. Unfortunately I was not able to take swatches of the products, because I was so busy eating...LOL


The event took place at the Ayala Activity Center.  There were a lot of guests and I was lucky to be part of this invitation-only press event.

This March, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics launches the next generation of the brand’s iconic Pretty Powerful beauty campaign throughout Asia Pacific. The campaign celebrates the beauty of real women from a variety of backgrounds through their inspiring stories, photos and videos. It symbolizes Bobbi’s belief that all women possess natural beauty, and with the right tools, are empowered to a higher level of pretty.


Launched on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2013, the third installment of the campaign was inspired by Bobbi’s new book, Pretty Powerful, a makeup guide containing beauty tips, transformations and powerful personal stories from dozens of real women. Handpicked by Bobbi herself, the campaign features women of all ages and ethnicities, from all over the world, such as mothers, cancer survivors, actresses, recording artists, journalists, bloggers, and entrepreneurs. Like Bobbi’s book, the campaign celebrates the beauty of all women and encourages them to embrace their individuality by being confident in who they are.

Elements of the new campaign include “before” and “after” photos of each woman, as well as videos sharing their motivating stories, face charts and application tips for creating the women’s looks. As part of the Pretty Powerful campaign, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics will launch a contest in 11 countries – Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam – inviting women to submit their unique Pretty Powerful Beauty Story on their local Bobbi Brown
Facebook page for a chance to win a trip to New York with a friend.


The contest includes three rounds.
Round 1:
*  Beginning March 8th, each week, each country’s Beauty Team will select one contestant to win
    Bobbi Brown products.
*  Weekly winners will also advance to Round 2 of the contest.

Round 2:
*  In May, a panel of judges will choose one Pretty Powerful story from these weekly winners to
    represent the Philippines in the grand sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to New York City.
*  The Semi-Finalist also wins P10,000.00 worth of pre-determined Bobbi Brown products.

Round 3:
*  Later in May, Bobbi will then select one winner from the 11 finalists who will enjoy a trip to New York
    City with a friend for an exclusive Pretty Powerful experience.

Bobbi Brown Cosmetic Facebook fans from the 11 participating countries can enter the contest via the brand’s new Facebook app, “Pretty Powerful Beauty Stories.” The interactive app allows new and existing fans to create their own Pretty Powerful Beauty Story with a Facebook friend of their choice, using their personal photos, as well as template designs and themes from each chapter of Bobbi’s new book, such as Pretty Radiant, Pretty Strong, Pretty Authentic. Fans then have the option to submit their photo beauty story, along with why they are Pretty Powerful into the contest. 

Through her Pretty Powerful campaign, Bobbi’s goal is to continue to empower women everywhere and help them understand that being that you are is the secret to lasting beauty.

You ladies should know by now, how important it is to remove your makeup before going to sleep. So, I've been really keen on trying out all sorts of makeup removers. This time around, I have been using the Mac Cleanse Off Oil to remove all of my makeup, since my favorite Bioderma makeup remover is running out. 

Yes ladies, you read that right. Bobbi Brown is finally available here in Cebu! I know that it's definitely exciting for my fellow Cebuana beauty enthusiasts and I'm sure you're all dying to try out their products.


You can now feast your eyes on the array of shades Bobbi Brown has to offer. The Bobbi Brown stall is conveniently located in Rustan's Ayala Center Cebu.


During the official launch of Bobbi Brown last March 9, they offered a 20 minute one-on-one makeup lesson taught by their very own Makeup Artists. I was lucky enough to be taught by their Makeup Artist Trainer, Noel, who so kindly shared to me the tips and tricks of having a flawless looking skin. I definitely learned new techniques during that short session.


I'd like to thank Bobbi Brown Philippines for letting us experience their products first hand and teaching us how to apply them. It really is something that I can add to my book of tricks. ^_^

I was fortunate to be part of the Mary Kay invitation-only Press Event held at Cafe George, Banilad here in Cebu City.  In celebration of the Women's Month, Mary Kay Philippines reached out to us Cebuana's and spoiled us with a sumptuous full course meal and showered us with their products.

We got to know more about Mary Kay, a top beauty brand available in more than 35 countries world wide.  In addition to that, they are celebrating their 50 years in the beauty industry! We have also witnessed the launch of their newest products and got to try some ourselves.

Once we arrived at the location, we were greeted with this beautiful pink table filled with Mary Kay products and chic decors.

The beautiful Criscy, director for marketing and the lovely Fatima, brand manager, led us to this table filled with all the Mary Kay cosmetic products. It was something we all love to call as a Makeup Buffet! LOL

They gave us this empty Mary Kay palette, and let us pick and choose the products that suite us best! I was overwhelmed and I couldn't believe that we get to go home with all these products.

I will definitely be writing reviews for these products soon once I've tested them. It's just exciting and I can't wait to try them all.
