During my pregnancy, I have been getting pimples here and there. I guess it was hormonal. So last summer, around May I had to search for another facial scrub since the one I was using at the time did absolutely nothing at all.

I went to Watsons and checked out their skin care rack. I found this tube of St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub. Seeing that green tea was the main ingredient, I immediately picked it up. I was glad that a small size tube was available.

I have been recently playing with some of my Catrice makeup and I just fell in love with their Defining Blush in Love and Peach.

I haven't bought any makeup related items recently but I just had to pick some hair products since I feel like my hair is all frizzed up. hehe

Cebu Beauty Bloggers recently got together for the BYS Cosmetics Makeup 101 Event held at Maya Mexican Restaurant. It was an event full of fun, makeup, and super yummy foodies. ^_^

During the event, there was a makeup demo where we learned tips and tricks from their BYS Makeup Artist; like how to shape your brows the easy way with the use of white eyeliner and brow pencil. We also got to play with their products and had the chance to choose the type and shade of foundation we want to try.


We were provided with a loot bag full of products from BYS Cosmetics, so I am excited to play around with these. Will definitely post reviews and swatches soon.


We also got the chance to hang out with the lovely and bubbly Shen of Shen's Addiction. She was the speaker for BYS Cosmetics during the event.

I finally got my hands on some Catrice Cosmetics! During the past few months, my father-in-law was on vacation in Germany, Paris and Rome. But he stayed mostly in Bremen Germany for more than two months since his eldest son lives there.

Catrice Cosmetics is a drugstore makeup brand popular in Germany. I've read really good reviews about their makeup line so I didn't think twice about asking my in-law to buy me a few makeup goodies from their brand, and he really did Yay! Thank you!

I seldom wear liquid foundation but when I do, I prefer to use a face primer to make it last longer.  I am currently loving the Mary Kay Foundation Primer especially if paired with my Mary Kay TimeWise Liquid Foundation. I honestly think these two together are a match made in heaven. LOL

Some of you might know that I do know a thing or two about hairstyling. I am not an expert on the subject but I did teach myself the basics of hairstyling since it comes in handy during makeup gigs.

This time I will be sharing with you how I prefer to style my own hair for special occasions or events.  I will be using my Conair Multi-size Hot Rollers which you can see HERE.

I find using Hot Rollers to be most convenient for personal use, because I can simply set my hair with rollers in about 20 minutes and just leave it while I do my makeup. Then just loosen them once done.

The first thing I do is to plug my Conair Hot Rollers to 220V and wait for it to heat for about 10-15 minutes.


One of the rollers has a red indicator light when not in use. It turns white when the rollers have been heated. Once the indicator light turns WHITE, that means all rollers have been heated and ready for use. I suggest you place the rollers on a non-plastic surface to prevent it from melting since the container for the hot rollers is hot.
